Well, for one I’m behind on blogging and uploading pics. I always seem to have so much to tell you and not enough time.
First let me say that when I was sick with the plague last week I totally spaced on the free earring giveaway for my bloggy birthday. SO to make up for that, instead of just one winner there will be 3! I’ll post the winners later today or tomorrow. Gotta have CSP draw the names for me tonight.
Something I’ve been working on that I’d like to tell you about is this:
I’ve been working on a little project and I’d like to share it with you. I am a member of a couple of online forums like the Disney Boards and a photography forum. I thought it would be really neat if my bloggy peeps had our own forum. So I created one! It’s totally free & easy to use. I think it’s a cool, centralized place to “chat” about things that go beyond comments on our blogs and emails. This forum is NOT intended to replace comments and emails, but to serve as a little online community place to share things with each other. I’ve often thought how cool it would be to have all my bloggy friends meet. It isn’t an easy feat to pull off in real life, but for now this is a neat alternative.
Goals of this site: To provide an easy forum in which to promote and share our blogs, thoughts, & interests. This is ONLY for bloggers. To get to know our bloggy friends beyond just post & comment.
I’ve created tons of forums: Adoption, Photography, Pets, Hobbies, Bridal, Travel, Foodie, etc. I’ve also set up a chat room for members. Right now this is an invite only, word of mouth site. If I don’t recognize your user name or email I will email you to find out who you are before approving you. I want it to be at least semi private. I’m aware that we post things on our blogs on the World Wide Web, but this way we all know that no one is on the site that isn’t a bloggy friend of a friend at least. Please feel free to share this with your bloggy peeps too.
I’ve created buttons to use on our blogs, so if you’d like one, let me know! I sent out an email invite the other day but I got a lot of those “mailer deamons” messages back. I hope you’ll check it out and join up!
