Bachelor Week 9

It’s Fantasy Suites Week BBs and we’re down to 3 women! Rachel, Kelsey, and Daisy join Joey in Tulum, Mexico.

Rachel-

Susan from Golden Bachelor comes to give advice to Rachel before her date with Joey. Then Rachel and Joey go to an underwater cave/swimming hole. There are loads of diving platforms all around the cove. They are having a great time diving and jumping into the water together until they get to the 3rd platform. They jump but when they come up out of the water, Rachel is in serious pain. She’s hurt her jaw somehow. The medic comes and recommends that she go to the hospital for an x-ray, so they go. Joey stays with Rachel the whole time. Rachel’s x-ray comes back fine and by the time they meet up for Fake Dinner that night her jaw is all better. They talk over fake dinner and Rachel opens up about her fear of losing Joey. She gets v emotional and cries. They retire to the Fantasy Suite. The next morning Rachel reveals she told Joey she loves him last night.

Kelsey-

Leslie from Golden Bachelor advises Kelsey and BOY does Leslie suck the wind out of Kelsey’s sails! Clearly Les is still bitter over losing Gerry. Leslie tells Kelsey to go into tonight with a hopeful heart, but to realize she could very well leave broken hearted. Thanks Debbie Downer! Kelsey then meets up with Joey and they take a boat out to swim with stingrays and turtles. The water is absolutely gorgeous! That night Kelsey tells Joey she’s falling in love with him and he reciprocates the sentiment! Danger! What if he says the same thing to someone else??? The next morning they make breakfast and look like 2 honeymooners in love.

Daisy-

Sandra from Golden Bachelor comes to see Daisy. They have a great chat and Daisy is all smiles as she meets up with Joey to go 4 wheeling in the jungle. They then take a V steamy outdoor shower in their bathing suits. Later, Daisy mentions how fun it is to fall in love with Joey and he tells her he’s falling in love with her too! WHAT DID I JUST SAY??? Ay yi yi. The next morning Joey tells the camera that he thinks if he asked Daisy to marry him she’d say yes.

Later Kelsey goes to Joey’s room to talk to him, but he’s not there. She writes him a short note. Joey, we need to talk. She leaves the note in his door. Joey comes back to his room and finds the note. Now, what would a normal person do? He’d call or go see Kelsey. But NOOOO. Joey spirals in his own thoughts about how it could be something bad that she wants to talk about. Like he’s on the verge of tears! Just go talk to her!!! Jeez.

And that’s where ABC ends this episode! Next week is the Women Tell All and the continuation of the Tulum adventure. Until then, BBs!!! xo 🌹

Disney Fantasy Western Caribbean Day 6- Cozumel & Satellite Falls

We woke up early again (no small feat for us night owls) and had breakfast at Royal Court. It’s the same menu every day so no pictures today. Today was the day when the cruise started going by too fast. We debated going ashore in Cozumel but ultimately it came down to that CSP still wasn’t feeling up to it. So we stayed on the ship. He did say though that next year he’ll get off the ship in Cozumel.

After breakfast we changed into our swimsuits. Before hitting the pool deck though, I had an appointment at 11 am for a quick polish change at the spa/salon. My gel manicure I got at home before we left was all sorts of chipped up. CSP decided he would take that time and run around the ship taking pictures of the ship and the Cozumel coast line. Well, my simple polish change turned into a Shellac manicure with a gorgeous view of the sea and before I knew it an hour had gone by. By the way, I finally soaked off my Shellac manicure today only because it had grown out so much and I was ready for a color change. I only had a couple small chips in it and some tip wear. Why can’t I get that good of a gel/Shellac manicure in my hometown? The same thing happened to me on the cruise last year! But I digress.

For lunch we decided to try the buffet at Cabanas. CSP loved it but I wasn’t crazy about it. I’m just not a fan of buffets overall though. For a buffet it was good. LOTS of choices. They did have big cocktail shrimp and I love that. After lunch it was time for a good nap!

We woke up and put our swimsuits back on and headed up to Satellite Falls, an adult area on the ship. We took our books and chilled out there all afternoon. LOVED it! There was plenty of shade for my fair, white self and the Satellite Falls themselves were fabulous. I took the waterproof camera and took some pictures from under the falls.

It’s so relaxing there. The falling water

provides the white noise and the water is just deep enough

where you can lounge in it.

The center of the falls has a circular seating area that’s heated!

So nice! And it wasn’t crowded at all since it was a port day.

Before we knew it it was 5:30 and time to go back to the cabin to get ready for dinner at Palo!

Double digits baby!

We’re in the double digits now! Less that 100 days til we cruise the new Disney ship the Fantasy! We are SO excited! I’ve actually talked CSP into doing an excursion on Grand Cayman. This is a huge deal. Instead of saying “Where are we visiting?” he says “How many times do I have to get off the ship”!! So getting him to sign up for an organized excursion almost took an act of Congress! We’re going to go see the Stingrays! Maybe I shouldn’t have shown him this photo! The only other place I can talk CSP into getting off the ship is Castaway Cay. We’re also stopping in Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico but he’s convinced we’ll get kidnapped by a drug cartel if we step foot anywhere in Mexico. He comes by the name Cap’n Safety Pants honestly!

While we were on the cruise Papa & Pete talked all about Pete & Lisa’s Mexican vacation in 2007. CSP was there and heard the whole talk. Well Gigi & I didn’t hear anything about this talk until just recently. The whole subject came up again because Papa has decided that him and Gigi need to experience the same vacation Lisa & Pete did. Down to the last detail. So they are flying into Tucson, renting a Mustang, and driving to Mexico. My mother is terrified. She is convinced that she will be murdered by crazed banditos on this trip. I have received numerous frantic phone calls about the trip. “I’m so sorry we have so much stuff in this house that you’ll have to sort through upon our deaths.” and “Have you told Lisa that I hold Pete responsible for my murder?”

So I sent the following email to Lisa & Pete:

My Mother wants you to know that she is really peeved that Peter has laid out the plans for her death in Mexico. Papa is so excited that he’s making them fly into Tucson, drive for hours across the border in the middle of the night. Mom is convinced that she will be shot in the head while driving in the rental Mustang. Of course he had to rent a Mustang and not something low key. But she’s not going to shave her legs so at least if she’s raped by banditos then it won’t be as fun for them. Apparently they are staying in the same hotel y’all did. The one with no phone. So now she’s worried that we won’t know they are dead for days and days. She’s upping her life insurance and sending you the bill.

Lisa responded to the email and replied to my Mom and me. She thought my email was hilarious and expressed that she was jealous she couldn’t join Papa & Gigi on their trip.

Mom replied:

Lisa Dear, This is not a joke. You know we’ll be murdered and not a soul will know about it until days later because there are no phones! (Thanks Pete!) Yes, and Hale wants us to show up on death row in a mustang! All the drug cartel will see us coming for miles. I told Shanny that I’ll have to check in hour by hour so she’ll have a more accurate time of death. I don’t even have enough time to drop a few pounds much less learn Spanish AND get our affairs in order. I’ll just have to verbally let them know my wishes and you’ll have to come and help Shanny clear out our house! Pete can have Hale’s cigars. Looks like we won’t be making the anniversary cruise!
