Top 5

M3 asked me what would be my top 5 favorite must read books of 2009.  In no particular order they are:

1. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Piccoult. Delved into really interesting family dynamics.

2. The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.  Not the most well written books I’ve ever read, but they do suck you in & make you fall in love with Edward.  If only they had named the baby something else.  Gag.

3.  While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky.  Another take on interesting family dynamics.

4. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie.  Pure fun chick lit.

5.  Hide by Lisa Gardner.  The first book I read by Lisa Gardner.  She sucks you right in and her books keep you on the edge of your seat while making you care for the characters.

  1. Is it Lisa Gardner that has a ‘series’ where the next book has someone you met in the first book type thing?

You should read the host by stephanie meyer. Not the best written either but it sucked me infaster then twilight did and that got me pretty quickly! lol

I haven’t read my sister’s keeper but i just read the time traveler’s wife.. not sure i liked it yet.

    1. Yep Lisa Gardner has repeating characters. But you can totally read out of order and not be lost. Loved Time Traveler’s Wife! I will put The Host on my list!

  2. Ah Twilight is my guilty pleasure! I also loved While My Sister Sleeps. I just read Not My Daughter, Delinsky’s latest book and I loved it. If you liked While My Sister Sleeps you should definitely check it out. It focuses on the controversy that arises in a small Maine town when 3 girls form a pregnancy pact. Again, she does a lovely job addressing family relationships. Great list you’ve got here 🙂
