The 3 Ts. That’s what you need to stock your house if you’re having a visit from Irish people. They only stayed for 3 nights but in that time they went through a loaf and a half of bread, a package of english muffins, 4 sticks of butter, and a half a jar of jam. Holy smokes. They also drank an inordinate amount of tea. Speaking of, apparently my lowly electric stove boiled water at a terribly slow rate. So the 2nd morning my Nanny insisted on buying me an electric tea kettle. That appeased the Irish who drink their tea while still boiling.
Molly & Kiki loved getting all the crumbs though!
We hosted dinner the 2nd night.
We made a low country shrimp boil. It was so yummy.
While they were here my father decided to buy my nephews a dauschund (sp?) puppy. Her name is Sister Loose Lucy. Jake wanted to name her Sister Charles, I suggested Lucy so they compromised. She’s a mini doxie and is cute as can be!

We had a lot of fun with Nanny & the Irish and can’t wait for their next visit. And by the last day we were actually able to understand the words that were coming out of their mouths!
Pictures here.

My grandpa was as Irish as they come and ate butter like it was candy. I don’t get it either.

It sounded like you had a wonderful visit and time with them all… But, too funny what they ate and stuff… I need to get an electric kettle too… my stove takes FOREVER to get water to a boil!!
