Santa (or my MIL) left the cutest little notepad in my stocking this year.
It’s the perfect size for my purse. And since I love to tweet, it’s perfect! -
Saturday night the girls went out to celebrate Gigi’s birthday, which was on the 12th. Momo, Sara, Gigi and I first went to dinner at Ruby Tuesday. We always go to the Ruby Tuesday where Momo works because we know we’ll get great service and Ruby Tuesday is Gigi’s favorite restaurant. We all had broccoli as a side dish and that night it was terribly over cooked. Normally it is fantastic there and perfectly cooked. While Momo was in the restroom Sara and I piled all our broccoli on to Momo’s plate. When Momo came back she did a double take at the giant pile of broccoli. Sara had the giggles so bad she literally did a spit take! Out came Sara’s chicken and mashed potatoes! So funny!
After dinner we went to see It’s Complicated. Such a cute movie- way funnier than I thought it would be. The entire theatre was cracking up through the whole thing. We had a lot of fun.
Yesterday was Joey’s 5th birthday. Uncle CSP had the day off so he was able to attend the party with me. Marc & Sara had a birthday party for Joey at their house. The theme- Mario. Like Super Mario. We arrived to find Joey all dressed up as Mario! SO cute! Here he is with Gigi.
A few of Joey’s friends from preschool came and Sara had asked me to do some face painting since kids that age love it. The line quickly formed and the kids had a great time.
Sara had the kitchen all decked out in the Mario theme
and there were even little mushroom cupcakes!
Joey loved his Crocs snow boots we got him!
I just realized I didn’t take a picture of the cute Crocs Blitzen shoes we got him. Boo! I found Mario Jibbitz for them too. Well, take my word for it, they are too cute. More pics here.Someone else had a birthday yesterday….Molly! Our sweet middle child Molly turned 4! No fanfare for her since Joey’s birthday is on the same day. She doesn’t mind though. We gave her a new booda bone and she went to town.

Next Saturday is Olivia’s birthday party and CSP’s dad’s birthday. All these January birthdays!

If you don’t know what channel AFV is on, go tohttp://abc.go.com/shows/americas-funniest-home-videos
How to spot our video: It stars CSP & Zoe.CSP is in his pajamas (bahahaha!) kneeling on the floor playing with Zoe. He slaps the floor then she slaps the floor.
So stay tuned!!! -
Over the past couple years I’ve been having trouble coming up with the words I’m trying to say. I might want to say microwave but mattress will come out. Things like that. CSP thinks my “disease” is contagious.
Me: I love the way you say Monterey Jack Cheese. “Monterrarry Jack”.
CSP: Yeah, well I announciate!
Me: You announciate? You mean enunciate. Bahaha!
CSP: See, it’s started! Your brain is rotting my brain! Argh!!

Notice anything weird about this picture? Besides that my kitchen wall looks all psychedelic, it’s really lime green and not rainbow. Anyway, this is my giant fork and knife. They used to live on the wall with their matching spoon. But the other day CSP was trying to open a garbage bag. And somehow he spazzed out and my beloved spoon apparently “flew off the wall and broke” on its own accord. Not just broke in a way that it could be glued back together, but shattered. My Mom, Gigi, had given me this set so I told her about the disaster. CSP wasn’t thrilled that I had shared the news. Then he heard me telling my sister about it over the phone. He started yelling “WHO HAVEN’T YOU TOLD?? WHO HAVEN’T YOU TOLD?? DO YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO TALK ABOUT? WHY NOT CALL THE CHARLOTTE OBSERVER?” Bahahaha! OMG Sara and I laughed so hard. Then to rub salt in the wound…I opened the fridge today to find this scene:
Yep, that’s one of our pots. A sauce pan. Wearing a bowl as a hat. The pot has CSP’s charro beans in it. Beans that would be very happy in a Tupperware bowl. Did I mention that not 2 feet away from the fridge is an entire cabinet devoted to Tupperware?
Bowls and matching lids of all sizes. Stacked neatly. All bean worthy. Why does this man torture me so??? -
M3 asked me what would be my top 5 favorite must read books of 2009. In no particular order they are:
1. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Piccoult. Delved into really interesting family dynamics.
2. The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Not the most well written books I’ve ever read, but they do suck you in & make you fall in love with Edward. If only they had named the baby something else. Gag.
3. While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky. Another take on interesting family dynamics.
4. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. Pure fun chick lit.
5. Hide by Lisa Gardner. The first book I read by Lisa Gardner. She sucks you right in and her books keep you on the edge of your seat while making you care for the characters.
