Disney Wonder Western Caribbean Day 4

Cozumel day! IMG_0586.jpg We woke up early for breakfast at Cabana’s buffet.  IMG_0585.jpgOn the way back to our room we stood in line to meet Pirate Stitch! While we were waiting for Stitch, Pirate Mickey was meeting fans and doing pictures.  When I spied across the atrium….Pirate Minnie!  She blew kisses to Mickey then came over to see him.  They were so cute!!!

The Disney photographer’s took a few pictures with CSP, Stitch, and me, but they were too $$$ to buy so you’ll just have to settle for this one of sweet Stitch- my favorite character!

Remember I told you about those Happy Anniversary buttons?  Well I pinned one to my lanyard (that holds your Key To The World Card that you use for everything).  And let me just tell you that EVERYONE has stopped to say Happy Anniversary! It was so sweet!  Like crew members would stop by our lunch table just to talk to us about it!  Or would shout it out as they walked by us in the hallways!  Disney really knows how to make you feel special!

We got ready for our day and had lunch at Triton’s again. Then we headed up to the theatre.  We got CSP the refillable popcorn bucket.

IMG_0584.jpg You pay like $7 for it then every refill is just a dollar and change. CSP ate a LOT of popcorn on this trip! That man was carrying his bucket around all day every day like a small child!

Oh, you might be wondering when we’re going to Cozumel? We decided to skip it this time.  We’ve both been numerous times and this go round we decided to just relax and enjoy the empty ship!

Oh, so we were at the theatre to see Star Wars The Last Jedi.  pexels-photo-699739.jpeg

I fell in LOVE with the porgs!!!  OMG! they are so cute! Like if pugs were birds! After the movie we went up on deck for a while to read and people watch.  Then back to the room to get ready for dinner tonight at Palo.  Palo is the adults’ only Italian restaurant on all the Disney ships. It is always amazing and tonight did not disappoint!

Our server was Mladen from Serbia.  I recognized him right away from embarkation day!  CSP was watching the Arsenal soccer match on his phone while I was waiting to get our dining rotation modified.  Mladen would come over every so often and ask the score of the game.  And then here he was, our server in Palo!  He was fantastic.

We got to PaloIMG_0588.jpg IMG_0589.jpgjust in time to watch the Pirate Night fireworks! IMG_0591.jpgWe had a perfect view!

Dinner starts off with antipastiIMG_0592.jpg and bread service. IMG_0593.jpg

We both ordered martinis.

I had the Palo martini and CSP had the lemon basil martini.  I liked his more than mine!

CSP had cippino

for his appetizer and I had the traditional caprese salad.  For our entree’s CSP chose the Dover Sole (which Mladen filleted table side) v v fancy.

I ordered the butternut squash agnolotti (Like a ravioli) which was divine!  Oh I forgot to mention the palate cleansing bit of lemon sorbet they serve you just before your entree.

Also pictured above is the salt service.  If you ask for salt they bring you smoked salt, a salt from England, and another salt which I forgot to write down.  I tried them all.

For dessert I normally get the chocolate souffle but Mladen told me they have a new souffle- Amaretto! I love amaretto so I had to get it. It was amazing!

IMG_0604.jpg CSP got the tiramisu and he loved it.  Mladen brought us a limoncello tart to share as well.

The meal finally concludes with a frozen limoncello shot. IMG_0611.jpg

We thought our evening at Palo was finished but Mladen had a surprise for us!

How sweet was that???  After pictures and promises that we’d be back later in the week, we rolled our full bellies back to our room for bed. IMG_0613.jpg

Tomorrow….Costa Maya, Mexico!
