Bless Your Heart

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending one on one time with my 2 year old nephew Joey. He was so excited that when I pulled up to his house he was already in his Mom’s car. So we got him out and put the car seat in my car. He scampered in and we were off! First we went to a cute indoor play area at the mall. We played there for a while then went to lunch. I was hoping he could play in their indoor play place but it was too big kid for him and he could barely climb up. But he had more play in him so we set off for a local park.  They had a fantastic playground and he had a big time climbing, sliding, & swinging.  While Joey played I tried to put together the toy that came with his kids’ meal.  It was a cardboard model plane and I swear you need a class to put that sucker together!  Joey would say “Done?” and I’d say Almost and he’d respond “Come on Aunt Shanny!”  I’m trying!

The cutest thing happened when we went potty at the restaurant.  I know that sounds weird but stay with me.  He did his business and when he was done I handed him a piece of tissue.  I’m not a boy, I don’t know what they do, but I thought he might like to dab the end of it or something.  He took the tissue and wiped his brow then his hands, let out a big sigh and looked up at me and said “Thanks”.  It was so cute.  Apparently going potty can wear a kid out!  More pics of our morning here.
