If you’ll kindly look to your right you’ll notice that my birthday is fast approaching. I loooove my birthday and try to stretch it out for as long as possible. Well for the last 3 years CSP & I have been on a big budget so we haven’t exchanged birthday presents. Christmas presents either. This year is different. Apparently having your uterus removed will get you a new camera!
I can’t tell you how excited I am! I stalked the FedEx package for the last few days as it made it’s way here from Beach Camera (where we got a ridiculous deal). Please don’t tell me if you know where I could have gotten it cheaper cause that ship has sailed, sugar.
Yesterday I went to do Morgan’s make up for her Senior pictures (OMG when did she get to be a SENIOR??). Then Mom & I went to see my Gmommy at the nursing home. While I was out CSP called to let me know the camera had arrived.
I got home and we took the box over to the dining room table where we unpacked everything as if it were all made of glass. I’ve never owned such an expensive piece of equipment (save the computer and car) so I was in awe.
It took us 30 damn minutes to figure out how to get the strap connected! While the battery was charging we figured out how to connect & disconnect the lens & Jon had a big time zooming. “Now I can really spy on the neighbors!” Oy.
It was late and I was tired so the only photos I took last night were of the pugs, living room & CSP (who kept flipping the bird at the camera- he’s such a kid).
Today I went over to Sara’s house to take some photos of the boys, but only after spending a lot of time reading the manual and trying to figure out the buttons. The boys were at their Grandma’s (which is literally around the corner) so we headed over there. I took some fun shots of them in the tub.

I was drying Joey off and tickling him and zerberting his belly when the unthinkable happened. All of the sudden I felt something hot and wet in my ear. Joey peed on me! He’d gotten to laughing so hard he just couldn’t help himself I guess. I started yelling for Sara. I am way too prissy to get peed on! He also managed to annoint his Grandma’s pillows and bedspread. Ugh!

OMGosh, Happy Early Birthday – what an AWESOME gift!!! I am sooooo wanting a new camera – hey think having the ovaries & tubes removed count as a camera worthy b-day present for me too?? Hmmm, maybe I should be doing the hinty-hinty to the hub! PS. I’ve gotta email you, sorry for the delay! ~hugs

Cool camera! My niece peed on me while I was holding her at Target. There was pee all over one side of my shirt, all down my pants, and a big puddle on the floor. Ewwww. I guess that’s all part of being a parent!

Ooooh getting peed on. That is an experience. LOL. I have a gross story for you and apparently all who will read this comment. Ther e is an embarrasing story my family loves to tell when I was a baby I farted so hard that I shot a poo out of my diaper and hit my aunt in the face with it. My poor aunty.

A new camera! Rock on! I can’t wait to see more of the pictures that you’ll be taking! What kind of camera is it? I’d really LOVE to get a super-expensive digital SLR camera. Maybe someday. That’s just not in our budget right now. Congrats!
