I’m thankful for our home. It isn’t the biggest house on the block or the fanciest one in town, but it’s super cute and does the job. Not everyone has a roof over their heads, especially after Hurricane Sandy. So I’m feeling extra appreciative of ours.
I am so thankful for my jobs. I sell Thirty One and Scentsy. I love both of them so much. LOVE the products, love the companies, love the people I get to meet because of them. I mean, I party for a living! Who gets to say that? And on top of earning a paycheck just by hanging out with cool women, I also get lots of free products. Like check out the new Picnic Thermal Tote I earned for free just by submitting a party! I love the flexible hours too. I’m going to be able to continue selling when the kids come home because I make my own schedule. I’ve also met wonderful people who also sell Thirty One and Scentsy. I’ve made friends I’ll have forever. All from fun jobs!
I am thankful for Blanca, my car. Or more specifically my Toyota Rav4. She’s 4 years old and runs like a dream. This isn’t a picture of her but she looks just like this. I love her so much. She’s totally reliable and gets great gas mileage. Plus she holds a lot more cargo then you’d think. And tonight she proved she still has catlike reflexes when I had to swerve out of the way of a coyote on the highway. He was trotting right down the middle of the right lane! Coming right at me! Blanca isn’t full of bells and whistles and her cd player doesn’t work anymore. But I’ll be driving her forever, or until she won’t let me anymore!
Today I’m thankful for the right to vote. Not every woman on this Earth has that right. I’m also thankful for the right to vote early and absentee. We voted weeks ago and thank goodness because this week has been crazy! Now just hoping my guy wins!
I’m a little late getting started but I want to take part in the 30 days of Thanks. So I’ll just catch up really quickly here.
I’m thankful for:
2. My family. They are a bunch of crazies who I love more than anything.
3. Our pugs. They gave me something to mother when nature couldn’t.
I’m such a bad blog owner! My blog turned 10 years old on August 20th! And I totally spaced. I feel bad. Now my blog’s gonna want a diamond or something just cause it turned 10 and I neglected to celebrate. Hard to believe that 10 years ago I wrote my first post. Back in the day I thought no one would ever read my blog. At first I’d post every little detail of my life. What I ate for lunch. A list of errands I ran. And now here we are, almost 3000 posts later! Through my blog I’ve met some incredible people, not to mention the free therapy writing blog posts provides!
To celebrate I am offering readers of my blog a 10% discount on your total Thirty-One order! Go here to shop and get your 10% discount! (you’ll put in your order and I’ll go in and adjust it down 10% before I submit the order). Here’s to 10 more bloggy years!!!
Who’s on Google Plus? I’ve been playing around with it but I can’t figure out how to link up my Twitter & FB streams to it. Anyone need an invite?
Time for new desktop wallpapers from Smashing magazine! There a bunch of fabulous offerings and it was hard to choose. I finally decided on this one. I love the colors and the flip flops. They have a bunch about freedom and flight. Go get yours!
