Bless Your Heart

Living out loud in the Carolinas

Today is another sea day.

This morning we went back to the Galley for breakfast.

Our view from our table at breakfast.

We ran into the man from Wales that we met at Gunbae! Benefits of a smaller ship. FYI our ship can hold approximately 2770 passengers, but on this voyage there are only about 2100 passengers.

I had blueberry pancakes, and CSP had salmon, cheese, and onions. He LOVES all the fresh salmon! Then we went for trivia again at the Social Club.

I got 22 out of 30 correct. Not bad! There was a guy who got all 30 correct! Amazing!!! After trivia we picked up our free coffee drink of the day.

At the Grounds Club coffee bar. There’s lots of seating, some people were even on zoom calls.

Virgin status matched us since we are Platinum on Disney Cruise Line, so even though this is our first Virgin Voyage, we will get loyalty perks like one free coffee drink a day (regular coffee is always free) and a free bag of laundry!

Virgin has an amazing selection of pastries that rotates throughout the day- all complimentary!

Next it was time for lunch, so back to the Galley we went. I had chicken and shrimp Pad Thai from Noodle Around

and CSP had sushi from Bento Baby.

You can either go get your food yourself, or scan for the menus and then raise the flag on this little sign and a server will come around to take your order and bring you your food.

Back to the Social Club for music trivia.

If you’re wondering why we didn’t take advantage of the pool area during these sea days, it’s because I recently had foot surgery on my left foot and am confined to wearing sneakers basically 24/7. I can’t get in the pool or ocean this trip. Whomp whomp. So it’s inside activities for us! This time we sat in the Loose Cannon bar next to the Social Club because the social club was full!

We didn’t do as well with music trivia. It was really tough! And I know my music!

Another cool thing about the Social Club is they have a big cabinet FILLED with games. We saw SO many people doing puzzles, playing cards, and playing board games on this cruise- more than any other cruise we’ve ever been on!

Afterward we went to the Galley to refill our tumblers then we explored the back of the ship. There’s an indoor lounging area called the Dock House and and outside lounging area called the Dock that overlooks the wake.

Then we found a cool lounging area near the Pizza Place & ice cream shop

They make their own ice cream and have daily special flavors.

on deck 7 where we read for a couple of hours….

…until out of the blue it started pouring rain on us!!! So we went to our cabin to read on the balcony since it’s covered.

The lights are always a different color in the hallways! Blue, purple, pink, red…

Later we got ready for dinner.

I took this picture ^^^ to remind you all that the walls of your cruise cabin are almost always made out of metal, and are therefore magnetic. Bring magnetic hooks (click the link to find some for less than $10) to provide yourself with more vertical storage!

Dinner tonight was in Razzle Dazzle.

the entrance to Razzle Dazzle

Razzle Dazzle is a vegetable forward restaurant. I was a little nervous if CSP would like it because he’s very Mr. Meat, but he LOVED it! We were seated at our table and the woman next to me was on her phone. Her flash kept going off in my face! Ugh! Luckily she was finishing up her meal, and her phone call when we were seated.

For our appetizers we ordered the fried green tomatoes and okra.

CSP ordered the Old Bay chicken wings.

For our entrees, CSP ordered the Mahi Mahi

And I chose the V’s fried chicken with biscuit.

We shared an order of the smoked carrots.

They are amazing, and I don’t normally like carrots! CSP even said the carrots were the best thing he’d eaten all cruise so far!!!

For dessert we shared the smoked creme bruleé. It was delicious!

After dinner we went back up to the Galley to refill our tumblers then it was time for bed.

One of the stairwells. I really like all the iridescent touches they use in the decor around the ship. It’s a v modern ship for sure!

The Roundabout that connects decks 6 & 7.

Tomorrow we are in San Juan!
