BBs it’s the finale! Let’s get into it! We rejoin Cindy and Mel in Antigua at Fake Dinner. Mel tells Cindy he won’t be proposing at the end of this journey and they may have to wait 2 years before they would get married. TWO YEARS!!! Two years when you’re in your 60s is a LOT different than 2 years when you’re in your 20s. So I am not shocked in the least when Cindy says that’s a different outcome than what she’d considered. She says I want my guy to feel like he’s been struck by lightning & can’t live without me. She decides to leave. Mel walks her out and then she breaks down in tears. Ironically, fireworks then go off.
Jesse comes out to the dock to talk to Mel. Jesse asks do you want to go find Cindy?
Then we cut to Cindy in LA at After the Final Rose. Mel did NOT go after Cindy in Antigua. BTW, it’s pronounced ANTIG-AH, not ANTIG-WAH, just in case you were wondering. LOL
Cindy looks amazing in a silver dress. Jesse asks her do you wish you would have stayed? Cindy says I shouldn’t have to convince a man to love me. AMEN CINDY!!!
Mel comes out in a black suit and giant white sneakers. Cindy asks him When did you know you weren’t ready for a proposal? Mel says because she didn’t stay for the Fantasy Suites she robbed them of that time and that would have gotten Mel there. I DON’T BELIEVE YOU MEL. He’s a moron. Cindy says she was willing to move to California and Mel says “That doesn’t interest me though”. Ugh.
Cindy is v classy through this whole thing. Way to go Cin.
Back in Antigua, Mel comes to see Peg in her room. He tells Peg about Cindy leaving, and Peg is SHOOK. Peg goes to meet Mel’s 2 sons and his old friend Diane from college. Mel’s sons LOVE Peg and so does Diane. They all think she’s a great match for Mel. Peg does tell Diane she’s not there yet when Diane asks if Peg is in love with Mel.
The next day they meet up on this TINY WEE island. They arrive separately by boat and obviously no one told Peg about the location because she’s in a gorgeous dress and heels and is soaked by the time she gets to the island. Mel gives her a diamond ring “as a symbol” of their commitment, but there’s no proposal.
Back in LA, Mel and Peg come out on stage and declare their love for each other. Good for them. I love Peg. I just think Mel is used to getting what he wants and doesn’t know how to deal with emotions.
Then they show bloopers from the season which are really cute and a little segment on Mel and the food. The man is always eating! He even has production pack up Fake Dinner for him to eat later after one of his dates! HA!
And that’s it for this season! There was also a segment with the new Bachelorette, Taylor Frankie Paul, but that’s a whole other story! Until next time BBs, xo πΉ
