After lunch we went over to the Overlook pods at the Aquadome

to visit with Mechelle, my BDM. Then we went out on the pool deck

to the Lime and Coconut for our first cocktail of the cruise.

We both got Lime & Coconuts, which come in wee buckets and are delicious!

Royal Caribbean treated us to a free open bar, sodas, and WiFi for this cruise. Yay!

We then stopped by Hooked,

the specialty seafood restaurant by the Aquadome to sample some of their food.

CSP had a delicious crab cake and the cutest wee lobster roll I’ve ever seen!

Remember the white water bottles we received that were waiting for us in our room?

There are little illustrations all over them that correspond to features of the Star of the Seas. There’s a card hanging from the bottle that tells you where to go, and when you get to the destination you can collect a sticker that corresponds with the illustrations. Collect all of the stickers and on Day 3 we will get a prize! Love a scavenger hunt! Plus we’ll really learn our way around the ship.
So we spent the next couple hours zooming all over the ship collecting stickers for our water bottles.

Thrill Island is where all the water slides are.

While up on Thrill Island we stopped for another drink. I didn’t like mine so I gave it to CSP. He said “I can’t be walking around with two drinks looking like I have a problem!”

While up on deck we noticed the Disney Magic was in port with us!

We stopped by the Hideaway pool. An infinity pool up on deck 15!

On the pool deck there is ample seating, including these cool loungers.

Then we went back inside the ship. Even the elevator banks have gorgeous sculptures!

One stop during our scavenger hunt was the Pearl, the showpiece of the Star of the Seas! It’s gorgeous! It is made up of all these dynamic tiles that move and are backlit by LED lights that change colors. There’s a staircase in the middle of it that takes you from deck 5 to 6 and to the Pearl Cafe.

We also went by the Lincoln Park Supper Club, a specialty dining restaurant that is just stunning! Only 42 diners at a time can eat here.

There are SO many choices when it comes to bars and lounges, like the Thorn and Thistle pub.
Playmaker’s sports bar is HUGE!!! You’d never know you’re on a ship!
We checked out the Surfside neighborhood next.

Standing here is where you can begin to understand how massive this ship really is!

We stopped back by our room when we’d collected the last sticker

and found that our luggage had arrived. Yay! So we unpacked then freshened up for dinner.
Next up…dinner and a show!
