  • Bachelorette Week 3

    G’day BBs! This week we are back in Melbourne, Australia!

    Spencer 1-1

    We start out with a one on one date with Spencer. YAWN. I don’t know, he just doesn’t do anything for me. He seems nice enough but his personality doesn’t stick out to me. For the day portion of their date they take a helicopter ride over the city of Melbourne and to see these amazing rock formations in the sea called the 12 apostles. That night at Fake Dinner, Spence is wearing a black suit (very nice) with NO SOCKS. WHY is this a thing??? Why are his pants so sort and his ankles so bare??? I don’t understand. Spencer tells Jenn he’s been cheated on and she sympathizes. He gets the rose.

    Group Date #1

    On this group date there are 10 guys (!!!) including Devin, Sam M, and Thomas N. They meet Jenn at a theatre and the male strippers of Thunder From Down Under come out and teach the guys some moves. Of course, the guys now have to perform a strip show in front of a live audience. Poor Sam N is about to stroke out he’s so nervous. He’s the guy who’s never had a girlfriend, or been in love. When the professional strippers are showing the guys how to do the dolphin dive, Sam N hurts his hand. Then it’s show time! Marcus, Jonathon, and Sam M have some SERIOUS moves. Whew! Devin is hilarious in his thong. Then it’s Sam N’s turn. He tells the people to cut the music. He stops the show entirely and walks out with a microphone and tells Jenn he’s falling in love with her. The entire theatre goes dead silent!!! Awkward!!! Jonathon wins Mr. Love Down Under.

    After Party

    Sam N apologizes for his awkward “performance” to Jenn and the guys separately. After he finishes speaking, Devin says Sam N can feel whatever he likes and he doesn’t have to apologize to anyone! Way to go Devin! Meanwhile, Sam M and Thomas N are busy making fun on Sam N and Devin hears it. I have to say, Sam M was one of my front runners/ favorites, but how the guys in the house act away from Jenn is just as important as how they act in her presence and Sam M is QUICKLY losing his shine. Sam M calls Devin a bully. Sam M clearly doesn’t know the definition of the word bully. Devin gets the group date rose. Way to go Devin again!!!

    Group Date #2

    It’s the 4 remaining guys and they meet Jenn at a race track. They are going to learn how to drive a race car and then race around the track. Aaron is the only guy there who knows how to drive a stick shift. Come on guys!!! Speaking of Aaron, he got a call from the Air Force earlier and they told him to come home for flight training or miss out completely. So Aaron decides to take the day to think about it. When the guys race in the race car, Hakeem is hilarious! I thought his eyes would pop out of his head! Jeremy stops the car to make out with Jenn. Austin wins the race and gets a bit of 1-1 time with Jenn.

    After Party

    All four of the guys get time with Jenn. Jeremy gets the group date rose and Aaron is a bit upset over this. He’d pinned his hopes on getting that rose and when he didn’t he took it as a sign that things aren’t so great between him and Jenn.

    Cocktail Party

    There are 15 guys left and 3 of them have roses. Aaron pulls Jenn first to chat. He tells her he’s leaving and why and she’s v supportive of it. Then, THEN!!!, Aaron drops a bomb. He says he won’t name names but that some people are there for the wrong reasons and some are not ready for an engagement. Jenn walks Aaron out then addresses the men. She tells them what Aaron says and tells them to leave if they aren’t ready for an engagement and reminds them that she’s serious and this is her life. She asks Marcus to chat.

    The remaining men in the group erupt into conversation about Aaron’s bombshell. Sam M tells Devin “I don’t like you. I don’t respect you.” Sam M is confused how Jenn could like him so much and Devin at the same time. Sam M also tells the producers (or maybe it was straight to Devin) “In the real world I’d snap you in half”. Another red flag for Sam M. All the guys are bickering and the guys who don’t get time with Jenn tonight are worried that she’ll think they are there for the wrong reasons.

    Rose Ceremony

    Marcus gets the first rose and Sam N gets the last. Going home: Hakeem and Tomas A.

    Next week looks good and juicy! Apparently some mystery guy shows up and surprises Jenn but not in a good way??? Until then BBs!!! xo 🌹

  • Bachelorette Week 2

    BBs! ABC dug deep into their pockets because this week we’re in Melbourne, Australia! Australia! On week 2! Will wonders never cease?!?

    We dive straight into the first group date. Half the guys meet up with Jenn at Queen Victoria Market. They all walk around the market trying v Australian foods like vegemite and kangaroo testicles (!!!). Devin pulls Jenn away from the group and they go get gelato. This really irks the other guys, but none more so than Aaron. The group rejoins Devin and Jenn and they all go to a comedy club where the guys have 10 minutes to write jokes then they have to perform the jokes on stage in front of a crowd. Of course, the guys all roast Devin!

    That night at the after party Jonathon pulls Jenn for the first chat. Grant gets a kiss. Aaron is still all upset over Devin’s little sneaky move so he pulls Devin aside and confronts him. Devin isn’t sorry in the least. Then Aaron says he doesn’t want to get involved in drama. Ummmm, you’re the one who won’t let this go, bro! Devin then interrupts Aaron’s time with Jenn to bring Jenn…you guessed it….ice cream!!! By now Aaron is FUMING. So what does he do? He goes back and interrupts Devin! Boys, boys, boys. This is ridiculous! Back with the group, Aaron and Devin can’t stop bickering. Tiresome. Grant gets the group date rose. Yay!

    Marcus 1-1

    Jenn and Marcus go to a local airport and it turns out they are going sky diving! Marcus is excited because he used to jump out of planes for his job as an Army Ranger. But Jenn? Our girl Jenn is TERRIFIED. Like, shaking in her boots scared. But they suit up and take to the skies. Jenn is first out the door, screaming. They land and kiss.

    That night over Fake Dinner, Marcus opens up to Jenn about his time in the army and how he was injured (grenade during a fire fight). He was in the hospital for months and had to learn to walk again! Plus, I notice when he wipes his tears away, that he’s missing part of his finger. Not sure if that’s related. Thank you for your service Marcus. A true hero! He gets the rose.

    Group Date

    The next group date is a photo shoot with Australian animals in the Outback. There’s a koala, snake, monitor lizard, the works. Hakeem gets a GIANT spider and FREAKS OUT!!! It’s pretty funny, but I’d be freaking out too Hakeem! Australia wants to kill you! Dylan steps up to hold a giant snake for Jenn when it’s her turn so she rewards him with a 1-1 dinner instead of the normal after party with the gang. The other 8 guys shuffle on back to the hotel with their heads hanging low. Dylan and Jenn go to a fake dinner and kiss and Dylan gets the rose.

    Back at the house, Aaron is STILL harping on Devin (who he keeps calling Dylan) for stealing time with Jenn on the last group date. LET. IT. GO! So Aaron pulls Devin to confront him AGAIN!!! Then Aaron calls Devin a bully and gives him a book on self growth.

    Cocktail Party

    The 8 guys who didn’t get time with Jenn at the group date are super worried they won’t get time with her so they ask the other guys to step aside and let them chat with Jenn. The other guys agree. Devin pulls Jenn aside to chat immediately. Thomas N. is beyond pissed off now. Thomas goes to where Devin and Jenn are chatting. Thomas doesn’t acknowledge Jenn is even there, just pulls Devin to yell at him. They walk like 10 feet away from Jenn and get into a screaming match. Jenn hears the whole thing. Devin then goes back to the group and Thomas sits down with Jenn like everything is fine. Jenn asks what that was all about and Thomas explains but Jenn puts him in his place.

    Jenn tells cutie Sam M. that he makes her flustered and he says good because you bother me too. It’s v cute.

    Lots of guys getting kisses tonight.

    Devin goes outside to confront Thomas. Thomas walks away. Devin keeps going on and on about it and honestly, I’m sick of them both!!!

    Rose Ceremony

    Mullet Austin gets the first rose for some reason. Of course Devin is standing between Aaron and Thomas N. Thomas N. gets the last rose. Going home: Brian (yay!), Jahaan (boooo!!!), and Marvin (meh).

  • Bachelorette Season Premiere

    BBs! It’s finally time! Jenn’s season premiere is here! Jenn is the first Asian American Bachelorette! Yay! Jenn looks gorgeous in her white beaded dress. And lo! She and Jesse are not at the Bachelor mansion! They are at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch instead. Interesting. It’s absolutely beautiful.

    The limos start arriving with the 25 would be suitors. Some standouts: First up is Marcus. Super cute ex- Army Ranger from NC! Love him. Marvin speaks French to Jenn. Sam N. is Iranian and has never been in love OR in a relationship! He’s cute and corny. Grant is v cute and tall. Looks like he could be a player though. We’ll see. Sam M. is super super cute from SC. I love a Southern man! Thomas N. is Vietnamese and is v cute and corny. He gives J a friendship bracelet. Then Brendan arrives eating habanero peppers for some odd reason. Thomas A. brings 2 puppies with him. Smart man. The puppies are so cute! But Thomas is wearing extremely short pants. I mean, we’re bordering on manpris here! And no socks. WHAT is the deal with no socks?!? Jonathon comes in on a stretcher saying he’s love sick. He’s wearing a bandage that covers his whole face and a hospital gown with NOTHING underneath! ABC has to put a rose over his bum all night long since he’s straight up nakey underneath that gown! Aaron is cute. He was married at 21 and is the twin brother of Noah (from the Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise). Aaron is divorced now, of course. Dylan is a cute med student. Devin is v energetic. He has a Pete Davidson vibe that I’m not mad at. Cute smile. Hakeem comes in with a bajillion balloons tied to his back! He has HUGE eyes.

    Jenn comes in to address the group and says she wants a “ferocious” love. Love that! Sam M. pulls her first to chat. He ends their chat with a sweet kiss on the cheek. Jonathon is sitting on furniture. With his bare bum!!!

    The whole group gathers to play truth or dare. Mullet wearing Austin strips nakey and streaks through the house. When Jonathon pulls Jenn to chat, he lets her unwrap his face. He’s cute!

    Later, Jeremy and Jenn are chatting in the red sports car that Jeremy arrived in. They aren’t out there but like 5 minutes when Brian walks up with the car keys and interrupts Jeremy and Jenn’s conversation. Brian wants to take Jeremy’s place in the car but Jeremy doesn’t want to leave. It gets awkward v quickly. Eventually Jeremy leaves. Brian is super aggro about the whole thing. I instantly don’t like him.

    Sam M. gets the first impression rose. Yay! Jenn gives him a kiss. The first kiss of the season. It instantly turns into a make out sesh. I don’t blame her. He has a great smile.

    Rose Ceremony

    First let me say this is a really, really great group of guys. I like them all (save Brian, see above). Also, at this point it is full on morning. Dylan gets the first rose and Sam N. gets the last rose. While they are panning around the room I swear there are guys there I’ve never even seen before! Going home: Brendan, Brett, Dakota, Kevin (who???), Matt, Moze, and Ricky.

    Then it’s time for the champagne toast and Jenn announces they are all going to Australia! That’s different! Usually they stay in LA for a couple weeks then go someplace kinda lame, then go international. The “this season on the Bachelorette” previews are next and this season looks so great!!!

  • Bachelor Finale

    It’s the finale BBs!!! Let me tell you that I have been avoiding social media since last night trying not to spoil it for myself! Anyway, let’s dive in!

    We are in Tulum, Mexico to meet Joey‘s family. There’s his mom, his dad, two sisters and a brother-in-law. Daisy meets the family first. She looks so cute in a pretty red dress. Daisy tells Joey’s sisters that she loves Joey and would say yes to a proposal. Then Daisy is talking with Joey‘s mom and they’re both crying and Daisy says I’m so sure and confident in him. Joey‘s mom says she would be honored to be Daisy‘s mother-in-law which is really sweet!

    Next, on the same day, Kelsey goes to meet Joey‘s parents and family which is unusual. I thought that they would do these on different days, but apparently not. So, Kelsey comes in and she looks beautiful. She has the best hair! When Joey’s sisters ask Kelsey, are you ready for an engagement? Kelsey says I think so. They tell Joey what Kelsey says and he’s concerned about it, because she didn’t say yes for sure.

    The next day there’s a date with Daisy, the final date, and they go on a spiritual journey with a shaman. Daisy is all in her head worried that it’s not going to be her at the end. That night during the nighttime portion of their date, Daisy tells Joey she loves him.

    Next is Kelsey‘s date with Joey. They have a spa day and everything is pretty normal. Kelsey says that she’s fully aware that Daisy is still in the picture and she’s worried about it because she knows how great Daisy is and she knows that Daisy and Joey have a really good connection.

    So then we come to proposal day. Daisy goes to see Kelsey after they’re both all dressed up and Daisy tells Kelsey that her date with Joey just felt off, and she knows that it’s not her and she wants to step aside and let Joey and Kelsey be happy.

    The next shot is of both of the girls riding together in the SUV!!! Presumably going to see Joey! They’re holding hands and supporting each other and it’s just amazing because this whole show is so often seen as a competition, especially between the women and it’s not. It’s just supposed to be about finding the right person for the bachelor or the bachelorette.

    Daisy goes to Joey first. She says I love you but the thing is you’re not going to choose me and I’m going to do what’s best for me and I’m going to go. They talk for a little bit more and he says can I walk you out and she says no this is something I need to do on my own. So she walks out by herself. Daisy goes to Kelsey and they hug and Daisy says I know your mom is looking down on this moment and she’s going to be so happy! Daisy is a queen!!!

    Then Kelsey walks up to Joey by the beach and he proposes and it’s beautiful and she says yes and they’re crying and it’s really sweet.

    Then we cut back to LA for After the Final Rose. Daisy comes out onto the stage looking amazing. She joins Joey on stage and she’s so poised and positive and they have nothing but the nicest things to say to each other and about each other. Then Daisy leaves and Kelsey joins Joey on stage and she is wearing a similar dress to what Daisy is wearing. They are very happy and Joey says how lucky he is. It’s very sweet.

    Daisy comes back out on stage and Kelsey joins her. They hold hands and support each other again, talking about their futures.

    Next they announce the next bachelorette is ….. Jenn!!! I’m so excited for her! She’s the first Asian bachelorette and she’s so cute and witty and I think she’s going to have a fun season!

    Jesse said Jenn’s season won’t air until July. I’m wondering if we will have a Golden Bachelorette first?? And that’s it for now BBs! xo 🌹

  • Bachelor Week 10 Women Tell All

    BBs! It’s the Women Tell All episode! In the past this has always been one of my favorite episodes. Then, in the last few seasons, this episode has gotten boring! Nobody was telling all! They were telling nothing! But this episode is good! Yay!!!

    We start out with a montage of Jesse and Joey crashing Bachelor watch parties. Cute. Then finally we get to the Women! There are a couple I swear I’ve never seen before (looking at you Star!), but most of them I remember. Jesse brings up that with 32 women in the house there’s going to be conflict. There’s a montage and then the stage erupts into complete chaos with Maria and Sydney and Lea all yelling at each other. Everyone’s talking over each other with Jesse saying “Ladies, Ladies, Ladies” while they all ignore him. After a break, Lexi goes up on stage and sits in the hot seat. She talks about how she had to leave the show because she’s on a different time line than Joey when it comes to having children because of her stage 5 endometriosis. I applaud Lexi for sharing this on such a public stage. I’m sure there are endless amounts of women who identify with Lexi and appreciate her bravery!

    Jenn is next in the hot seat talking about her breakup with Joey right before Hometowns. She is so cute!!!

    Maria is next. When she’s finished speaking about her relationship with Joey, Jesse asks her why Sydney disliked her SO MUCH. Maria says she doesn’t know but that she does not approve or condone of all the hate Sydney’s been getting on socials. At the end of her segment she goes to Sydney and hugs her and Lea. I think Maria really handled herself so well with all the Sydney drama.

    After Maria’s segment we head back to Tulum to see the aftermath of the “We need to talk” note that Kelsey left for Joey last week. Kelsey goes to Joey’s room to chat. She sits him down and says that she wrote the note because she wanted to tell him in person that she misses him when they aren’t together and she wants to meet his family and that being away from him is hard. Poor Joey’s face! He was SOOO worried that she was going to leave. Even though he’s relieved, he still doesn’t look happy. He tells the camera that he’s going to take a bit to snap out of it because he’d spiraled so far so fast. Kelsey feels sooo bad that she worried him so much.

    Rose Ceremony

    The 3 ladies look gorgeous for the rose ceremony. Daisy gets the first rose, then Kelsey. That means Rachel is going home.

    Back in LA, Rachel joins Jesse on stage. Joey comes out to join her and as they are talking about their relationship you can see how much love and respect there is between them. Then Rachel shares that she’s been under attack online from racists calling her horrible names and even going so far as to create videos where these crap humans say they wanted to vomit when they saw Rachel and Joey kiss. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? Ohh this makes my blood boil!!! Rachel, never mind the fact that she’s a poised, intelligent, kind woman- she’s a HUMAN!!! It kills me that people would speak of her this way and have such gall as to speak TO her that way!!! SHAME ON YOU RACIST SCUM BUCKETS!!! Ugh!!!

    On a lighter note, after a break they showed the girls doing impressions of each other and Joey that were spot on and v v funny! Then, of course, they show bloopers. So funny!!!

    Next week looks wild! I’m dying to know what happens! It appears that Joey could end up alone!!! Yikes BBs!!! Until then, xo 🌹

  • Bachelor Week 9

    It’s Fantasy Suites Week BBs and we’re down to 3 women! Rachel, Kelsey, and Daisy join Joey in Tulum, Mexico.

    Rachel-

    Susan from Golden Bachelor comes to give advice to Rachel before her date with Joey. Then Rachel and Joey go to an underwater cave/swimming hole. There are loads of diving platforms all around the cove. They are having a great time diving and jumping into the water together until they get to the 3rd platform. They jump but when they come up out of the water, Rachel is in serious pain. She’s hurt her jaw somehow. The medic comes and recommends that she go to the hospital for an x-ray, so they go. Joey stays with Rachel the whole time. Rachel’s x-ray comes back fine and by the time they meet up for Fake Dinner that night her jaw is all better. They talk over fake dinner and Rachel opens up about her fear of losing Joey. She gets v emotional and cries. They retire to the Fantasy Suite. The next morning Rachel reveals she told Joey she loves him last night.

    Kelsey-

    Leslie from Golden Bachelor advises Kelsey and BOY does Leslie suck the wind out of Kelsey’s sails! Clearly Les is still bitter over losing Gerry. Leslie tells Kelsey to go into tonight with a hopeful heart, but to realize she could very well leave broken hearted. Thanks Debbie Downer! Kelsey then meets up with Joey and they take a boat out to swim with stingrays and turtles. The water is absolutely gorgeous! That night Kelsey tells Joey she’s falling in love with him and he reciprocates the sentiment! Danger! What if he says the same thing to someone else??? The next morning they make breakfast and look like 2 honeymooners in love.

    Daisy-

    Sandra from Golden Bachelor comes to see Daisy. They have a great chat and Daisy is all smiles as she meets up with Joey to go 4 wheeling in the jungle. They then take a V steamy outdoor shower in their bathing suits. Later, Daisy mentions how fun it is to fall in love with Joey and he tells her he’s falling in love with her too! WHAT DID I JUST SAY??? Ay yi yi. The next morning Joey tells the camera that he thinks if he asked Daisy to marry him she’d say yes.

    Later Kelsey goes to Joey’s room to talk to him, but he’s not there. She writes him a short note. Joey, we need to talk. She leaves the note in his door. Joey comes back to his room and finds the note. Now, what would a normal person do? He’d call or go see Kelsey. But NOOOO. Joey spirals in his own thoughts about how it could be something bad that she wants to talk about. Like he’s on the verge of tears! Just go talk to her!!! Jeez.

    And that’s where ABC ends this episode! Next week is the Women Tell All and the continuation of the Tulum adventure. Until then, BBs!!! xo 🌹

  • Bachelor Week 8

    It’s week 8 BBs & that means Hometowns! One of my FAVORITE episodes! I love meeting the families!!!

    Joey goes to New Orleans first to see Kelsey A. They ride a tandem bike and explore the city. That night they go meet up with her family. Kelsey’s mom sadly passed away a couple years ago from cancer. Tonight we meet her Dad, sister, and brother. Dad brings out a photo album filled with pictures of Mom and it’s so special to see her. Dad needs to be the next Golden Bachelor! He and the rest of Kelsey’s family are just lovely people!!! They are all so loving and supportive of the Bachelor process.

    Next Joey goes to Rancho Cucomonga, California to see Rachel. Rachel’s family is multicultural as they are Filipino but are from Hawai’i. Rachel teaches Joey how to show respect to her mom by placing her mom’s hand on his forehead. It’s v sweet and Mom is impressed! There’s a big backyard bbq with loads of Rachel’s family in attendance. Mom and Dad are pretty skeptical of the whole process. Rachel’s whole family is just so loving and lovely too! Rachel tells Joey she’s falling in love with him.

    Then Joey goes to Becker, Minnesota to visit Daisy. They tour around the Christmas tree farm where she grew up. Daisy’s friends surprise her with a visit. Daisy tells Joey if her family isn’t on board with him that she won’t be able to move forward with their relationship. We meet Mom, Dad, sister, brother, and Grandma and Grandpa. Another great family that’s so welcoming and full of love! And luckily for Joey they all like him a lot and can see how happy Daisy is. Afterwards, Daisy tells Joey she’s falling in love with him.

    Lastly we go to Niagra Falls, NY to meet Maria’s family. OMG it’s the best! First Joey and Maria ride the Maid of the Mist into the falls. Then we meet the family. Bless the editors who put the mafia music on anytime Maria’s family is on screen!!! Dad is Nick. Nick has longish dyed black hair. All wisps and feathered. V 80s. He’s all unbuttoned shirt with pinky rings and big gold watch and a heavy silver chain around his very tanned neck. It’s all V Greek and Italian. Her 2 brothers are mini versions of Nick. Joey sits down with Nick for a chat and Nick gives Joey his blessing to marry Maria. Later, Joey and Maria go outside and sit on a bench. They are chatting when the camera pans to the house and her entire family is pressed up against the windows watching them! DYING!!! SO weird and funny!!! Maria says she’s falling in love with Joey but she doesn’t tell him! She says she froze! Uh oh!!!

    Rose Ceremony

    There are 3 roses tonight and the ceremony is at an airplane hangar in LA. Just as Joey picks up the first rose, Maria asks to speak to him. They walk over to a plane to chat. She tells him she’s falling in love with him. He says Thank You. They walk back. It’s odd! No hug or kiss. V formal and stiff feeling.

    Daisy gets the first rose, then Kelsey, then ….. Rachel. Maria is going home. She’s all smiles as Joey walks her out. Doesn’t shed a tear. But she says she’s confused and sad.

  • Bachelor Week 7

    It’s the week before Hometowns BBs, and tensions are HIGH!!! The ladies are all emotional and jealousy is a big theme this week. Buckle up Buttercup!

    There are 6 women left as we head to Jasper in Alberta, Canada. Daisy get’s this week’s first 1-1. Joey and Daisy go horseback riding through the woods and by a gorgeous lake. Seriously some of the best views I’ve seen this season. Then they hop in the hot tub that just so happens to appear in the middle of the Canadian wilderness! That night over Fake Dinner, Daisy admits she’s not in love yet. She says she really, really likes Joey but just isn’t there yet. Joey doesn’t seem to mind and gives Daisy the rose. She gets V V excited!!! Then they go ice skating in a hockey rink and make out.

    Group Date

    The ladies join Joey and a professional Lumber Jill who teaches the women how to be a lumber Jill. Then the ladies compete against each other in axe throwing, log rolling, log flipping, and the like. Maria is NOT having it. She’s fresh off a 1-1 from last week and is not having a good time back in a group setting. Get over it girl, this is what you signed up for! Then, when Joey is filming 1-1 with production, Jenn spies an opportunity and makes out with Joey. Maria sees this and is fuming. That night at the after party, Maria, in a V V high slit (like to her hip bone high), tells Joey she doesn’t think she can do this anymore and wants to go home. She’s super jealous and doesn’t like seeing him with other women. And I ask, Have you not seen the show??? It’s a group dating show!!! Anyway, Maria walks away from Joey for a bit and cries. She then returns to Joey and tells him never mind, I do want to stay. Oooookay.

    Joey goes back to the group of ladies and tells them he is not handing out the Group Date rose tonight, that he needs more time. The ladies are NOT happy about this.

    1-1 Kelsey A

    Kelsey and Joey tour around the town of Jasper then decide to do the Polar Plunge! They change into their swimwear and plunge into the frigid lake with a bunch of other brave souls. Then they make out in a sauna. That night Kelsey explains who all Joey would meet if he comes to meet her family. She gets the rose.

    The next night all the ladies are anticipating getting some time to speak with Joey that night, then Jesse comes in and tells them that there will be no cocktail party tonight. They are going straight to the Rose Ceremony. Again, the ladies are NOT happy.

    Before Joey hands out his first rose, he asks to speak with Maria privately. He asks Maria if she still wants to stay and she says yes, that she just let her jealously get the best of here because it’s so hard seeing him with other girls. They walk back out to join the group. There are only 2 roses on the table. Rachel and Maria get the roses. Going home: Kelsey T and Jenn. This is the hard part for me! I love Jenn and Kelsey T! But they’ll find love in Paradise maybe!

    Next week is one of my favorite episodes, Hometowns! But next week looks ROUGH for poor Joey!!! Until then BBs!!! xo 🌹

  • Bachelor Week 6

    It’s week 6 BBs and this week we are ALL in our feels in Montreal! Buckle up because it’s an emotional ride!!!

    We start with some one on one time with Joey and he’s worried the women won’t accept him for himself if he reveals to them that he’s falling for them. He’s got a feeling deep down that this whole thing won’t work out! So sad!!! I hope that’s not the case, but the preview of the season ending didn’t bode well!!!

    Group Date

    The women and Joey go on a scavenger hunt of sorts throughout Montreal. They make poutine, play some street hockey, and generally have a fun day touring the city. Jess is bummed she hasn’t received a 1-1 date yet and is annoyed with the group dates. That night all the women are feeling v subdued and a bit down. In fact, every single woman shown with Joey in 1-1 time with him cries! Katelyn feels like she’s falling behind the other women. Lexi asks Joey about his timeline. Joey says he wants a 2-3 year engagement!!! Then he wants to be married a few years before children. Lexi is worried about this because of her endometriosis. Kelsey A feels like she’s getting lost in the background. Kelsey A also tells Joey she’s falling for him. As does Jenn. Most of the women are having a hard time seeing him with other women since real feelings are now involved. Jess also tells Joey she’s falling for him. Joey says he can’t get there with Jess and just can’t picture it with her. He walks her out. Jess sobs in the car as she’s leaving. I honestly never saw it with them either. No chemistry.

    Joey feels really bad about sending Jess home and rejoins the group. He gives Jenn the group date rose.

    1-1 Kelsey T

    Kelsey and Joey go to a gym and train with an aerialist member of Cirque du Soleil. It looks so fun! They are spinning and twirling in the air and on those big metal wheel things. But Joey gets super dizzy and has to quit all the acrobatics. That night over Fake Dinner Kelsey tells Joey about her complicated relationship with her father. For some reason, her father did not support her decision to go to college and not only did she have to move out of his house, he even stopped speaking to her! Rude! Because of all this, Kelsey now has trust issues with men. She gets the rose.

    Maria 1-1

    Next is Maria’s one on one date where Joey picks her up at the hotel in a vintage stretch limo. V cool. It’s the classic Bachelor shopping date. They go to a boutique and pick out a fancy dress and shoes for Maria. Joey changes into a dapper suit. They then take a helicopter tour of Montreal. V cool city- I’d like to visit! Later that night Maria tells Joey she’s falling for him. He gives her the rose.

    Back at the hotel Lexi goes to see Joey in his room. Lexi tells Joey that they are on different timelines due to her endometriosis and fertility concerns so because of that she’s going to go home. This shocks Joey.

    I noticed during this episode that EVERY single time a woman cries, they apologize to the person they are crying in front of. Why? Why do we feel the need to apologize for our emotions? There’s not a thing wrong with showing emotion. Especially in the Bachelor environment where things are super charged, sped up, and v emotional!!! Let it out Ladies and stop apologizing!!!

    The cocktail party goes well, even if it is v subdued. The women line up for the rose ceremony and notice there are only 3 roses to be given out! Daisy, Kelsey A., and Rachel get the roses. Katelyn and Lea (yay!!!) go home.

  • Bachelor Week 5

    BBs, this week we’re picking right back up with the Rose Ceremony from last week. Maria is still emotional over Lea being mean. Lea gets the last rose.

    Going home: Edwina (😢) and Allison.

    Now we move on to Andalusia, Spain!!!

    All the remaining girls are seated at an outdoor table when Joey rides up on a Vespa scooter. He sits with them for a beat then takes Kelsey A. for a 1-1 date. This makes Kelsey T. emotional and a bit jealous. Kelsey A and Joey ride the Vespa for a while around the city then do some walking and have a picnic. It’s gorgeous there! All cliffs and arched bridges and cool architecture. That night, over Fake Dinner, Kelsey A tells Joey all about her mom. Mom was really impressive. A military policewoman who developed breast cancer that metastasized to her bones and then quickly claimed her life. So very sad. Kelsey A gets the rose and Joey tells the camera he is smitten!

    Group Date

    The next date is a group date. Lea is complaining about having to go on a group date with Maria. Ugh. Let it go! The group arrives at a villa where they are instructed to express their feelings for Joey in a quote and a painting. Jess wins 1-1 time with Joey, where they change into swimsuits then paint a large canvas with their bodies (and make out). At the After Party, Maria tells Joey all about her upbringing. She was raised by her dad because her mother couldn’t be the parent she needed to be. When Maria was a baby she and her mom were in a horrific car accident where a cement truck crushed their car. Mom broke just about every bone in her body and Maria was pronounced dead at the scene!!! Terrible!!! Maria gets the group date rose and Lea says “My heart is in my ass.” Poetic.

    Rachel 1-1

    Joey and Rachel walk up to a Flamenco show. They watch for a bit then get a lesson from the dancers. Joey is wearing shorts and they make him put on high heeled booties to dance in. SO FUNNY!!! After the lesson, Rachel and Joey change into traditional flamenco costumes and perform with the dancers. They are really good! Especially Rachel! It looks so fun! Later that night Rachel shares with Joey that while she was born and raised in Hawai’i, she moved to the mainland to study nursing and get a job as a nurse. She warns it can be hard to date a nurse. Joey gives her the rose.

    Cocktail Party

    Maria (who has a rose) interrupts Katelyn when K and Joey are chatting. Maria then gets time with Joey. This does not sit well with Jess who hasn’t spoken with Joey yet tonight. Jess gets V upset. Maria rejoins the group and she and Jess start arguing about how Jess didn’t get time and Maria didn’t need time because she has a rose. Voices are raised and Jess calls Maria a bitch then storms off with Lea at her heels.

    Rose Ceremony

    Jess gets the last rose. Going home: Madina and Autumn.

    Lea promises that the drama is just getting started. Ugh. This whole mean girl aesthetic is not a good look Lea!!!
