I’m so thankful for GPS. God bless whoever came up with this concept. And I’m even more grateful that with the last update on my iPhone I can get turn by turn directions spoken to me through my radio speakers. I’m no good at directions or learning my way around so I rely heavily on GPS. It’s so much better than having to constantly look at my phone with its list of directions or a piece of paper with directions written down on it. And much safer too. So thank you GPS creator!

I’m thankful for the movies. I love escaping for 2 hours. I love everything about the movies. The big, comfy seats, the snacks, the sounds, being surrounded by people who love the movies too. I love going to the movies more than renting them, but there’s something to be said for cuddling up in bed with CSP & the pugs and watching a movie in our room.

I am thankful for today. I’m thankful for a chance to get together with family and friends for the sole purpose of recognizing our blessings and just enjoying each other’s company. I’m thankful there will be a wonderful meal prepared and even more wonderful people with which to share that meal! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am thankful for all the silly stuff that runs around on the internet and tv. Like Honey Boo Boo. (trust me- turn it on and you can’t look away). And Grumpy Cat.

It doesn’t take much to get me excited. I love small surprises and am thankful when one appears. Like when CSP comes home with a treat for me from the store or like what happened today when we received a surprise check in the mail for $22. You know those emails you get talking about class action law suits but you never think you’ll see a payout? That’s what the check is for. And now we’re $22 richer! And for that I’m thankful!

I am thankful for the talents God gave me. I love the quote from Erma Bombeck: When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me’.
I try and use the talents God gave me daily. I knit, paint, make jewelry (not as much as I’d like), write (not as much as I should), etc. Sure, there are some talents I wish I had. I wish I could carry a tune. I wish I could dance, even a little. And I’ve always been in awe of people who can do standing back flips! But in the end I’m very thankful for the talents I have and really enjoy using them! -
I am thankful to have been born when I was. Not only because had I been born in another era I wouldn’t have met CSP & all my friends etc, but because of modern day luxuries. God bless those people who lived in pioneer days and even before. I wouldn’t have done well with no deodorant, hair product, mascara, lip gloss, moisturizer, you get the picture. Not to mention medical advancements. I surely would have died in my early thirties had I been born 100 years ago! When my fallopian tube twisted and became engorged it got the doctors excited at the hospital- and that was in the mid 2000s! They surely wouldn’t have known what to do with me in the 1800s! And that was just the start of my surgical adventures!

I am thankful I have a good sense of humor. I can find the humor in most anything and I can laugh at myself. I’ve met plenty of people who just seem miserable, with no discernible sense of humor. Life is just more fun if you laugh every day!

I am thankful for the good, healthy food we have access to.
Not everyone shares that same luxury. Not everyone gets a box of clementines to enjoy. But I do, and for that I am thankful. -
I am thankful for my friends. Some I’ve had for years and years, some are new. But all are so very, very important to me. I love them all. They are the family that I’ve chosen.
