Today we are in beautiful Bimini in the Bahamas!

This morning we had a reservation for brunch at The Wake.

We were excited because it would be our first time having brunch there. We were seated at a great table right by a big window.

It was PERFECT for people watching! We could see everyone lining up to take the trams to the beach club. It’s a gorgeous day out there!
In here, we placed our orders. I chose a scrambled egg, French toast (with bananas and strawberries), and for my appetizer- poached shrimp. All v tasty!

CSP got himself a Bloody Mary, clam chowder, and The Wake Benedict.

At brunch, a lady was seated at the table next to us. She was a solo sailor. We got to talking. Virgin Voyages is SUCH a great cruise line for solo travelers- they even make solo sailor cabins, little studios!
For dessert CSP & I shared the crepe cake. SOOO good!

Shots of Bimini from our ship ^^^^. Since we were just at the beach club on Bimini 4 weeks ago, we decide to stay on the ship and take advantage of the empty pools. So we go to the X pool and hang there for a few hours. Then we have a light lunch at the Galley where we FINALLY find some ducks!

We’ve been looking all week for ducks, with no luck until now! These are teeny tiny! We keep a couple and hide some for other people to find.
We then go to our room to change into dry clothes. Pro tip: don’t wear your good jewelry when you travel. Buy yourself a travel ring and leave your wedding ring(s) safe at home! Here’s the ring I wear on our travels:

Once we are in dry clothes, we go down to the Dock to read/chill.

After a couple hours we realize it’s time to go pack up since today is our last day on the ship. We pack our things and shower one last time in that fabulous shower as we get ready for dinner. Dinner tonight is at Pink Agave.

I have the shrimp appetizer, chicken enchiladas, and a coconut margarita. All are delicious!

For dessert, CSP and I go to the ice cream shop to have one last free ice cream cone (for now), on the Resilient Lady. Then it’s time for bed- we have an early morning tomorrow!
Saturday, January 10
We wake up before dawn, then have breakfast in the Galley. We go back to our room to collect our luggage and disembark. Disembarkation is easy and quick. Before we know it we’re back in the parking garage, looking for my car. CSP swears it’s on level 2 but I remember level 3. He leaves me with the luggage near the elevators and weaves all through the cars on level 2 for 20 minutes- all the while clicking my key fob and trying to locate where the horn honking is coming from. FINALLY, after a half hour, CSP drives up in Hazel the Hyundai!

Where was Hazel? Level 3, right where I left her, in front of the elevators. We hit the road for home. We stop at Buc-ee’s for lunch.

We pull over and park near where people walk their dogs at Buc-ee’s. This hopeful crow keeps a close eye on me while we eat.

We make it home around 8 pm to our excited pups and start dreaming of our next adventure!
