Bless Your Heart

Living out loud in the Carolinas

Judy asked: Did you ever tell us where you get your fridge markers?

I bought my first set at Target. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to carry them anymore. Now I get them from here.

Meredith asked:  when do we, the general public, get to hear more about your adoption?

Well, I think that answer requires its own post, so I’ll do just that very soon, I promise.

Jenna asked: my question is how do you like wordpress over blogger?

Oh my goodness….so much better.  I can customize my layout so much easier on WordPress.  I think publishing is easier.  I like the whole interface much better.  It seems cleaner, smoother, easier to operate.  And there are so many more features.  Now, who knows, maybe Blogger has updated a lot since I left a few months ago.  But I can see stats, moderate comments, maintain my blogroll, and do regular blog posting and admin stuff all from the same site.  Easy peasy.  And WordPress pulled over all my archives from Blogger, so I didn’t lose a thing when I switched.  LOVE that.

MC asked: How do you find the energy to do so many things?

Hmmm….I didn’t realize I did so much.  It’s just my regular life.  I’ve always been full of energy and gogogo.  But I have to tell ya, not working in cube land helps.  And I’m never bored.  I have lots of things going on all the time and I try to surround myself with good, positive people, so that helps!

Michelle asked: We’ve been thinking for a long time now about getting another dog.  I’m leaning heavily towards a Pug.  What info can you give me about them?  Are they good with kids?  Does that breed typically suffer from any health conditions? Would they do well in an apartment(with a patio)?

Pugs are great with kids!  They are super patient and don’t snap or anything when getting poked and prodded with little fingers.  They are low maintenance.  We clip their nails and brush them periodically and that’s pretty much it!  When you pick one out check to make sure their eyes don’t bulge out too much.  They can have eye problems, hip problems, breathing problems.  We’ve not had any problems like that.  As far as their breathing, just don’t leave them out in extreme heat or cold.  They want to be with you anyway. I’ll email you with more detailed stuff, and if anyone else is interested in pugs and has any questions I can answer, let me know!  We just love them so much and will never be without a pug!

Well haven’t I been away from your site for too long. I’m so getting a pug next time around. Next to The Boob, that’s my all time fave breed. They are the sweetest, softest, most cutest little freaking dogs ever. After The Boob, course.
