You will do great Shannon. From what I can tell you are a super hostess. I know you already decorated the house great and the food network has a lot of yummy recipes, plus I bet you have some yummy family recipes as well. I am sure other people will bring food/dessert. I’ve hosted for the past six years(as long as I have been married) and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have and the best advice I can give you is do the prep work ahead of time. Make as much as you can ahead of time and freeze it. But I know you will have help with your family. You will be fine!!

Have you tried those bags you cook turkeys in? I think reynolds makes them.. the turkey taste great and its no mess to clean up.

I was scared to death the first time I ever made a bird as well.

It is no big deal! The trick is picking a couple of ingredients to use in more than one dish so all the food goes together. I have tons of recipes on my site that would be perfect.

I did christmas dinner for my inlaws last year, so I know just how you feel. Just remember to take one dish at a time and try to do what you can ahead of time.. mashed potatoes can be done a day ahead, as can sweet potato casseroles.. use pillsburry for rolls (what could be easier? AND they are yummy) Set fruit salad together the day before.. anything pasta is better the next day too

if you need help I can email you my cell number :)
