Gettin Knitty With It
While Rachel and Lisa were visiting they taught me how to knit. I caught on pretty quickly and worked on some practice yarn for a good long while. Then I finally got brave and moved on to some funky pink yarn Rachel left. Then yesterday I started a new project with regular white yarn and funky furry multicolored yarn. Now, I only know how to make rectangles and squares, so obviously I’m making scarves for everyone I know for this Christmas. It’s fun, faster than crocheting, and I like the way the needles sound when they click together. When I get to the desired length of my scarves I’ll hopefully remember how to bind off. When your knitting teachers live 3 states away it makes tutoring a little difficult!

It’s faster than crocheting? That’s good to know. Maybe I will learn to do it one day.
