Living out loud in the Carolinas

Unlovable?

Last week I took Kea to the vet (4.04 lbs!) and then we stopped off at the library. I carried her in sort of up on my shoulder. She didn’t move a bit, nor did she make a sound. I went in, dropped off my books, handed my card to the lady, she rang in my new books and we were gone within 3 minutes, never stepping more than 5 feet into the library. This is a familiar scene and I’ve never had a problem. The vet and the library are so close to each other it just works out.

Well this time the lady says to me before I could even drop off my books “You know you can’t bring dogs in here right?” Dogs? Kea could barely pass for a furry lapel pin! I promptly told the pug hating librarian that Kea has been invited to come perform at story time at her Daddy’s Mom’s library in a neighboring county where they don’t discriminate against pugs! The first book that’s been chosen for Kea’s storytime is Unlovable by Dan Yaccarino. Such a cute book. I’m just amazed that anyone could look at my sweet pug pups and not fall instantly in love! Hopefully society will grow more dog friendly soon!
