Hair, Isabel, Kitty Cabs, No Problem, Pirates

~I received a letter in the mail yesteday that my stylist has left my salon! I know that sounds like a really shallow problem, but my Mom always did my hair (she went through cosmetology school a long time ago) and I never went to salons. Our busy schedules made going to a salon to get my hair done necessary. Mom found Sue for me and Sue’s done an amazing job. Now she’s gone and I have to start going to a new person. I just hope I get someone good and don’t end up with a spotty mullet!

~Isabel is messing us up. Jon won’t drive up tomorrow to Baltimore like planned because of it. So now we’re driving up on Sunday and coming back Tuesday. hrm. Not too thrilled about cutting our trip short and losing the weekend. But we’ll be back up next month, and again for Christmas shopping at Ikea in December. I just wish we could spend more time with Rachel & Lisa! Darn mother nature and her furious winds and rain!

~I want to go for a ride in one of these cabs if we ever vist Tokyo. So cute!

~Know what annoys me lately? I’ve noticed that a lot of people, even people in the service industry, say “No Problem.” in response to “Thank You”. Whatever happened to “You’re Welcome!”? You know how it makes me feel when people say “No Problem.” ? I feel like they’re really saying “It didn’t put me out too much to help you today.” as opposed to “It was a pleasure helping you today” or “I was happy to do it.” What has happened to being polite? I was brought up to say please, thank you, you’re welcome, yes ma’am, yes sir, etc. It just irks me. Last week when we went to dinner our waitress said “No problem” every single time either one of us said “Thank you”. I wanted to sit her down and give her a heart to heart talk! So please people- say “You’re Welcome!”

~I love pirates. I know I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating. I love the ride at Disney, I loved the movie, and I can not wait to get the dvd. It’s coming out just in time for Christmas!
