Living out loud in the Carolinas

5 Questions

Lisanne came up with 5 very interesting questions so I could take part in the 5 Question interview game.

1] You’ve just won a contest. The prize? Your own personal chef will come to your home tomorrow night and fix you *anything* you want for dinner, free of charge. What will you choose, and why? This is tough. I’d want something I wouldn’t be able to make myself, and I’d like lots of my favorites. I’d like it to be a sampler, with a little of each of the following. I’d like some really good bread, the tomato and mozzerella salad from Guytanos, Chicken Bryan from Carrabas, some grilled shrimp for an appetizer done Hibachi style, barbque from Shealy’s, and grilled veggies, and also the mushrooms from the Palm. For dessert I’d like a sampler with homemade baklava, creme brulee, grilled bananas and cheesecake.

2] A very close friend of yours has been extremely down, depressed, sad, etc. lately. What, if anything, would you do to try to cheer her up/help her? I’d take her out to a funny movie, a day at the spa, then we’ll go for dinner and a long talk where we’ll laugh and I’ll listen. Sometimes you just need to talk to someone when you’re down, so I’ll be the best listener I can.

3] Which state would you most like to visit? [Pick one that you haven’t been to before.] Why, and what would you do there? This is a good one. My goal is to visit every state before I die, but if I had to pick just one…I think Alaska. Everyone I know that’s been says that you just have to see it for yourself. That it’s just so beautiful. Plus, I like the cold and cruises so I’m thinking an Alaskan cruise would be great.

4] What are five goals that you have for the near future [within the next five years, let’s say]? 1.Have children (naturally if possible). 2. Learn French and visit Paris. 3. Have a substantial amount in savings/investments. 4. Lose weight. 5. Launch a successful venture (the one I can’t quite tell you about yet. Patience.)

5] What’s the biggest surprise that you’ve ever received? What was it, and when did it occur? I’m not sure how to answer this. Gift? Event? I’ll go with Event. When Jon proposed I was so surprised that it didn’t quite sink in at first and then when it did I almost hyperventilated and I literally fell to the floor. That was August 28, 1999.

Thanks Lisanne! Now, the way the game works is that if you’d like me to interview you, leave a comment with “Interview Me” in it and I’ll send you 5 different questions for you to answer!
