Bless Your Heart

Busy weekend. Cousin Dana’s graduation cookout was a lot of fun Friday afternoon. Saturday we exchanged my cell phone as the SIM card was corroding. Might have something to do with me dropping it in my cereal a while back. I’m such a klutz. After the cell phone exchange we hit the road for Valle Crucis. It poured down rain a good bit of the day but we managed to get the house all cleaned up, yardwork done, and now it’s ready for the season! We are so excited to go back up in just a couple of weeks with Rachel & Brian and Emily & Hip! We didn’t have time for much touristy activity, but we were able to sneak over to the Mast General Store for a little while. After cleaning we went out to Gino’s (a local mountain sports pub) for a late night snack. We had so much fun with my Mom and Hale. They are just so funny – not your typical parental units. And Hale’s doing a lot better with his shingles.

Sunday after an early drive home from the mountains, J’s parents came over for a Father’s Day cookout. I made his dad a blueberry pie- it came out pretty cute I think. I cut the dough into letter shapes to spell out Dad. He liked it so that’s what matters.
