Bless Your Heart

I’m back at work today after my mid week weekend (I’m working today and tomorrow, so I was off the last 2 days). Tuesday night I rented The Good Girl which I really enjoyed. Loved Zooey Deschanel in it, and Jennifer Aniston did a great job. Wednesday J & I saw Chicago and I loved it. I’m really impressed with the dancing and singing ability of Renee Zellweger, John C. Reilly and Richard Gere. I knew Catherine Zeta Jones and Queen Latifah could sing, but who knew Renee could belt like that? I’ve been listening to the soundtrack ever since.

In other news, my friend Matt gave us a Sony Playstation on Tuesday and we’ve been video game junkies ever since. We just can’t figure out why kids these days (man I’m old) like the games that are out now with all the blood, sex, and gore. Give me Centipede, Ms. Pacman, and Pong any day. Matt gave us 6 games (how nice is he?!) and we’ve added the classic Atari collection, Crash Bandicoot, and Ms. Pacman to our collection. Wednesday we had cocktail and video game night and it was quite fun. J was so excited to get the games & system as that has not been in our budget. Lucky for us Matt upgraded to PS2 and had no use for the old system. I keep hearing bleeps, blips, and explosions from the den. It’s like being married to a 14 yr old boy!

Oh, and my Mom has chicken pox! How weird to be an adult and have chicken pox. It sucks that she cared for 3 children with chicken pox and went unaffected, but then get it years later!
