Bless Your Heart

This weekend was spent painting, organizing, cleaning & house hunting. We want to keep our options open so we spent some time checking out neighborhoods & houses other than the first one we had decided on. We even checked out a neighborhood built very close to where the PTL Network was based. Remember PTL? Jim & Tammy Faye? It’s so strange driving through there. The big compound is all roped off. You can still get an eye full from the street though. There’s the unfinished 500 room luxury hotel, the abandoned water park, the strip that looks like it would house cafes and shops, the empty grand ballroom. There are weeds growing in the cracked parking lot and only a few of the streetlights remain lit. It’s all just a sad, creepy place. Kind of makes you think twice about the lovely 2 story waterfront brick home you just looked at. I’m not so sure I want to live a half mile from bizarro Disney.

Yesterday was my Mom’s birthday so we all went to a late lunch at PF Chang’s then to see Catch Me if You Can . It was really a delightful movie. I can’t wait to read the book for my book club!
