Living out loud in the Carolinas

Saturday afternoon I met up with my two sisters and a friend of mine for a doggie walk in the park. I’m so mad because I didn’t bring my camera. It was pretty funny. We went to the park around the corner from my house and walked the 3 dogs around the lake there. Not even half way around the dog that belongs to my friend, S, just keeled over. Right in the middle of the path. He was just tired, didn’t want to go on. So funny looking there, a little Boston terrier, all pooped out on the path. He got up and soldiered on, stopping to keel over every few hundred yards, and eventually she ended up having to carry him the rest of the way. I asked what on earth was wrong with him, and she says “Oh, well this is the first walk he’s ever been on.” I couldn’t believe it! She’s had him for 2 years! I feel so sorry for that poor dog. No exercise. Nelson goes on walks all the time and has a back yard to run around in. Her poor dog is stuck in an apartment all day, then gets no time to run? Sad.

After the park I stopped by Restoration Hardware & Party City for some travel package goodies. Then I went home, got dinner ready, and when J came home we watched Trading Spaces. I loved all the rooms. The little boy’s room that Vern did was the coolest thing! What a lucky kid. His parents didn’t seem all that excited though, but they were probably just tired. Edward’s shutter room was so pretty. I loved those shutters. Frank’s ceiling was just beautiful. Doug’s room was a little wild (I think I would have skipped the zebra stripes on the wallls), but still very, very cool.

***Update Turns out the homeowners from the safari room have put their furniture up on ebay. Including the cool headboard. What a shame! Check it out here.
