Yesterday was a lot of fun. I love day trips. All the fun, none of the packing of luggage. We really timed it right too. There were just enough people there to make people watching fun, but not so many that we had to wait in line for more than 5 minutes to ride anything. There were a ton of new rides. I haven’t been since 1989. There were a lot of things that are still exactly the same. J had his first elephant ear ever. We rode the ferris wheel, the scrambler, the himalaya & the sky something. I can’t remember the name, but it’s like a ski lift that takes you from one side of the fair to the other. Even though it was a short trip, I tried my hand at more road silly putty creations. Pictures to follow once they’re developed.
After the fair we had dinner at Lizard’s Thicket before hitting the road home. Nothing like some good southern cooking.
When we came home I took a bath & used a Black Eyed Susan bath bomb. It was so cool! Like a mini jacuzzi. Plus it smells so good.
Today I’m off to pick up some ingredients for a little travel package to send to Rachel before her & Brian head south. I don’t want them getting lost on their way!
