Living out loud in the Carolinas

Ray & Elizabeth are an awesome couple. They’re so fun, so funny, so kind and sweet & so happy to see you every time you meet up. They are always together, never one without the other. They came to my showers & the wedding. We spent last New Year’s Eve with them and my mom & Hale & Morgan. They’re just cool. Ray was feeling kinda icky the last couple of weeks, flu like. It just kept hanging on. Then came the blurred vision, mood swings, and driving through red lights without knowing it. A friend said he probably had this viral infection that was going around. So Ray went to the doctor earlier this week. The Dr. sent him for and MRI. The MRI people sent him directly to Mercy hospital yesterday without telling him what was going on. Then just yesterday they told him the news. Ray has a very large, inoperable, malignant tumor in his brain. They operated on him last night until 1am this morning trying to relieve pressure on his brain. At 6am this morning they told him that with chemo he may be able to live about 6 more weeks. 6 weeks? I can’t comprehend this. First my friend Melissa dies from spinal & brain cancer in June, and now Ray? These are good people. Poor Elizabeth, Ray’s wife, is absolutely beside herself. Everyone’s all torn up about this. They have a son and a daughter who are about my age. I can’t imagine losing my mom so this must be just awful for them all. So now, kind friends, I ask a favor. Please say a little prayer for Ray & his family. Thank you.
