Living out loud in the Carolinas

curling is now a canine sport

the cats & the dog are starting to get a long a little better. meaning that the kitties don’t go tearing out of the room when nelson comes in anymore. they sure aren’t buddies yet, but we’re getting there. nelson’s doing the funniest thing now. when it’s time for him to go to his room for bedtime he know’s what’s up once we get down the hall. (we have to keep the animals seperated at night and while we’re not home for now until they really get used to each other.) so anyway, just as we’re nearing the spare bedroom where he’s sleeping he starts to slow down. then he’ll flip over on his back and go dead weight. so i have to push him down the hall on his back. it’s like curling with a dog. we have hardwood floors so he slides really easily. the whole time he’s looking up at me smiling his little dog smile. once we get to his door i give him a good push off and he slides right in! i say goodnight, close the door and we’re all set. i should try out for the olympic team next time. i’ll get husband to take the position of the broom guy and we’ll be gold medal bound!!
