happy mother’s day
sunday i got up sooo early and was way productive. i gave nelson a bath & cleaned the house then headed out to church. there was a baptism so it was really cute. little baby mikah. the preacher walks the baby up the aisles to we all get to see him. so cute. of course this puts my mom in a frenzy for a grandchild and the rest of the service she’s whispering to me about bassinets & baby clothes. we met up with my middle sister sara then headed over to guytano’s for brunch. it was very good but sooo crowded. lots of kids, toddlers & babies. i just love little children in spring church clothes. then we headed out to mcgill rose garden to check out this year’s rose crop. very nice picture taking. after the rose walk we picked up my littlest sister morgan then went round to the open houses in the neighborhood my mom wants to move to. we also checked out one house in a neighborhood we’ll never afford– the house was listed at $1.5 million! huge panic room type house. but we did happen upon one house my mom’s considering. i just hope she hires a moving company this time. she has sooo much stuff. then it was time to head back to my house for dinner with the in-laws. they met nelson and my f-i-l fell in love with him. my m-i-l went into librarian mode recommending all these books on dogs etc. dinner was good. jon grilled steaks & shrimp and we had baked potatoes and a nice salad. i made baked brie with brown sugar, walnuts, & honey served with crackers. sooo good. they didn’t leave til 10 so after clean up it was late getting to bed. which means i’m a sleepy head today. yaaawn.
