pepe the puppy

we’re approved! i applied with this animal rescue place in rock hill, sc to adopt a little dog and i got the call last night that we’re approved. (rock hill and charlotte are divided by the state line so it’s just about 15 minutes down the road.) i’m really liking this place so far. it’s called recycled pets. they’re really picky on who gets to adopt. you can tell they care about who’s taking these animals home. and for some reason if it doesn’t work out, you just take the animal back. they’d rather have you do that then try and give it away. the coolest part though is that you can see the available animals online. we need a dog who does well with kids and other animals. they have this cool chart where you can just scroll down and see if there’s one that fits your needs. then click on the picture and get a little profile. i narrowed down my choices to 2: shelby and nelson . jon’s pick is nelson because shelby’s profile said she’s a little on the hyper side. he wants to change nelson’s name to pepe. not sure what jon’s fascination is with “pepe” lately. the frog in the pond’s name was pepe. i think i accidentally blew him away when we were doing yardwork last weekend. i was using the leaf blower and it got the best of me and blew some in the pond- which was dry except for pepe’s corner because of the heat & so we cleaned it out. haven’t seen pepe since. i digress. anyway, i’ve got an appointment sunday to meet the 2 dogs. i might be bringing pepe home!!
