July Ipsy Glam Bag!

My July Ipsy Glam Bag came today!  Super cute bag filled with all new to me products!

The breakdown:

  • Pur-lisse SPF 30 Sunscreen.  Perfect for travel and it’s supposedly good for sensitive skin.  Yay!IMG_5593
  • Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow.  The color is a dark taupeish color.  It doesn’t say which shade it is on the teeny tiny bottle.  A little dark for me for Summer but I’ll use it for sure in the Fall. IMG_5597
  • Clear Clinic Vanished Clear Spot Treatment.  It’s a tiny bottle of pimple treatment. Good for travel when my skin almost always acts up!IMG_5596
  • Tints & Sass Fabulous Lip & Cheek Stain by Elizabeth Mott in Cherry.  I’m a wee bit afraid of this as I have such fair skin. I don’t want to look like Raggedy Ann with big red cheeks.  But I’ll try it! IMG_5594
  • Models Own nail polish in Red Sea. It’s a reddish orangeish coral with holographic glitter floating around in there!  Can’t wait to try it! IMG_5595

Hi, my name is Buttah

Cause I’m on a roll!  Ha!  I have one more prize to tell you about.   There was a contest on Facebook to win a 4 piece skin care set and I won!  It’s from Budhi which is technically a teen skin care line but hey, I’m about 15 on the inside so that counts right?  It came with a cute drawstring bag and a sticker. The little bottles are perfect for travel, reusable and it’s all fragrance free and good for sensitive skin (which is a plus for me).  Thanks Budhi!

Lizard skin

This winter has wreaked havoc on my skin.  I have really dry, sensitive skin.  I have pretty severe eczema too so that makes it tricky when it comes to what I can put on my skin.   This winter lotion just wasn’t cutting it.  I tried oatmeal lotion, shea butter, the works and I still felt like my skin was just going to crack and fall off.  Then a friend told me about Aura Cacia almond oil.  I ordered a bottle from Amazon since searches of my local grocery didn’t turn up any almond oil.  Plus I wasn’t sure if I could use food grade almond oil or if it had to be just for skin.  Anyway, my oil came in and it’s amazing!  A little goes a LONG way.  Thank goodness because I was not crazy about the price (about $11 for the bottle), but if it lasts a long time then it’s worth it.  It absorbs (unlike baby/mineral oil), doesn’t have a smell (so it doesn’t clash with my perfume), and doesn’t leave me looking greasy.  My Aunt Marsha told me she uses almond oil from the grocery store and keeps it in the fridge.  I’ll try that once my bottle of Aura Cacia runs out.  So if you have dry, sensitive skin- run out and get you some almond oil.  It’s even helping my eczema!
