Be A Bombshell Eyeshadow Quad in Bora Bora.  Gorgeous colors!

IMG_5022Pacifica Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter.  I seriously wish you could smell this!  Amazing!

BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready.  Really pretty color.  I’m not a lipstick girl.  I’m a HUGE fan of BareMinerals Buxom lip gloss.  But my mom will love this.

Nicole by OPI Roughles Nail Polish in “On What Grounds”.  A very pretty, Springy blue shade with tiny pebbles that create texture.  I like my fingernails to be smooth but I love this for a fun pedicure!

IMG_5018 Got this awesome palette for turning in 1000 tipsy points.  It’s from NYX- Bronze Smokey Look Kit.  Lip color and eyeshadow with mirror.  SO cute!

And of course all of this came in a super cute little zip bag.  You can never have too many of those!

December Ipsy Glam Bag!

My December Ipsy Glam Bag is here and it’s fabulous!

Here’s what was included:

  • NYX Lipstick in Sunflower. IMG_4562 It’s a bit on the bright red side for me (and conservative CSP), plus I’m more of a gloss girl vs lipstick.  So it will go to my mom or sister.
  • Be A Bombshell The One Stick in Flustered.IMG_4563Basically it is a stick you can use as blush or lipstick.  Again on the bright side so it is also going to Momo or Gigi.
  • POP Beauty Eye Shadow Palette in Smokin’ Hot.  A glittery silver, dark gray, and black.  Gorgeous.  I already have these colors so this is going to Momo. IMG_4560
  • Andrea Strip Lashes. IMG_4559So glam!  I’m trying to decide when to use these.  Maybe NYE?  I’ll post pics when I do.
  • Julie G Textured Nail Color in Sugar Plum Fairy.  photoLOVE this color!  It’s blue/purple with silver and purple glitter.  You don’t use it with a top coat so it’s matte.  Here’s a pic of what it looks like applied.

February’s Birchbox

February got away from me before I could tell you about February’s Birchbox!  photo

This month I received:

-Perfume sample by Juicy Couture– Couture La La

-Ghirardelli chocolate square

–BB cream

–Hair protectant & leave in conditioner spray

-Nail polish in a jade green color.

I’m pleased with this Birchbox.   I’ve already tried all the items.  I love little sample sizes because they are perfect for travel.  I’m not too sure about the green nail polish. I know that Pantone has declared Emerald Green as the color of the year but it’s just SO GREEN.  It’s really pretty in the bottle though and maybe it would look better on someone with a different skin tone.  I’ve been wanting to try BB creams for a while now but I didn’t want to buy it and hate it you know?   I’m going to give it another couple tries before I declare my verdict.

Can’t wait for next month’s!

Glitter on glitter action, baby

I wasn’t planning on blogging about every manicure I get I swear.  But I just received so many compliments on this one that it begged a mention.  Christina and I went and got Christmas manicures on December 17.  This is what it looked like 3 weeks later!  It’s hard to see in the picture but the polish is super sparkly.  Glitter on glitter action, baby.   Of course after 3 weeks the new growth has pushed the polish out to the ends of my fingers and the situation has turned pretty janky, but I’m still very pleased with my Gelish manicure!

I am a siren of the sea

Behold!  On the left is my new favorite fingernail polish.  The brands don’t matter here.  It’s the color that matters.  My favorite Christmas colors are purple, aqua, lime green & hot pink so I wanted to paint my nails to be festive.  The purple is Sally Hansen.  It’s a deep purple with a bluish tint.  Kinda what I picture that indigo to be in ROYGBIV.  Makes me feel far more edgy and hip than I am.  I’d show you a picture of my actual stubby little fingers but my manicure is chipped right awful from all this unpacking.  I’m just not made for manual labor!

On the right is my new favorite toe nail polish.  Yes I know it’s December but unpainted toe nails give me the creeps. It’s a super glittery aqua.  I got it in a cheap 4 pack while looking for the perfect purple.  The “purple” in the multipack was really a blue parading around as purple.  The brand is LA Colors and I got it at CVS for like $3 for the 4 pack.  I was a little worried that I might be too pale to pull off such dark and bold colors but I think they work.  I’d show you a pic of my actual toes but who really likes to look at other people’s toes except for toe pervs?  Plus my left big toe is all wonky since I had an ingrown toenail taken care of an all he left me was a tiny sliver of a nail.  Sadist! Conservative CSP was appropriately shocked and dismayed and cried “GREEEEEN????” when he saw my toes as if it was the end of the world as he knows it.  I corrected him that it is NOT green but a lovely aqua.  It makes me feel like a mermaid. And who doesn’t want to be a mermaid?
